So I purchased a nice nikon slr a week or so ago. It takes great pictures right out of the box. I was wondering if someone could help me choose a good micro lens.

I too have acquired a Nikon. Bought the D90 about three weeks ago. It's hard to beat the auto focus Sigma 105 mm 2.8 DG Macro lens for the money. However, the better lens would be the 150mm but you'll have to cough up alot more bucks.

Rc-toners wrote: Dpml's no problem. Always glad to help someone out If you dont already have a tripod, get one. With that sigma lens your going to need one to mount the nikon to so you can take clear pictures with a macro lens, because macro lenses go into incredible detail, and the slightest hand movments can blur the image.
