I've developed a real "thing" for toned British stuff lately.

I'm waiting for a couple to arrive as we speak, and I'll post 'em here later.

I have picked up a few toned patterns so I guess I can say I collect them:)  Actually since this site cranked up I've been looking specifically at toned coins for my US type set.  How cool would it be to have a complete MS type set with nothing but beautiful toning!?

Mark - a few toned patterns is somewhat of an understatement!:kudos:

IMHO cool 19th century toned type coins can still be purchased with little or no premium over their white, dipped-out counterparts - you might want to snap 'em up before others realize that the nice toned original stuff is really under-valued!

Ron-   I'm working on it.:D   It gives me something to look for when I can't find the coins for my pattern sets which seems to be a recurring theme.

Mark - that's sorta how I started collecting toners - having a real tough time finding the few FE/IHC patterns that I wanted and our logo coin reached out & called my name! :rainbow::kudos::rainbow: And when a sexy babe like that reaches out and calls your name . . . well, you just gotta snuggle up and dance :clod9:

Jefferson nickels & Franklin halves are my favorites, but I like them all when it comes down to it. The only toned coins that don't peak my interest are Morgan $'s. They're a dime a dozen if ya ask me. The toning on a Morgan would have to really be pretty spectacular to get my attention.
